AP Government Launches 15Mbps Broadband at Rs 149

Hyderabad, 21 March: AP Government Launches 15Mbps Broadband at Rs 149: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu started the first phase of Fiber Grid project in order to provide broadband connectivity at low-cost. The Andhra Pradesh government signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Cisco on 17th March as part of the inauguration of India’s first state-wide broadband project AP FiberNet in Visakhapatnam.

                             
Naidu said that digital transformation was the most transformable intends to empower maintainable development and create society. His administration's aim was to give Internet association with all families in the state as a component of Digital India crusade, as per CM Naidu. 

Under the task, Internet associations would be given at shabby rate in areas of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam by April. It will cover whatever is left of the state by end of July this year. 15Mbps broadband association will be given at Rs. 149 every month to family units and 100 Mbps association for workplaces at the expense of 999 every month. Electrical shafts will be used to place overhead fiber net link rather than underground link to reduce the cost.
