Hyderabad: Etela Rajender, Finance Minister of Telangana on Monday presented the state budget in the assembly by proposing an total expenditure of Rs.1,30,415 crore for the 2016-17 financial year.
The financial backing constitutes the arrangement consumption of Rs.67,630 crores and non-plan expense of Rs.62,785 crore. Also, he gave the monetary allowance assessed Rs.3,381 crore. What's more, with a monetary shortage of Rs.23,467 crore.
This budget has focused on the irrigation and he allocated Rs.25,000 crore for this sector. Rs.7,861 crore has been allocated for Palamuru lift irrigation project and Rs.6,286 crore for Kaleswaram project while Rs.1,150 crore for Sitarama Project.
Etela has said that this budget is the stepping stone towards the dream of ‘Bangaru Telanagana’. And this budget will satisfy the aspirations of Telangana.
He also accused the previous governments during the combined AP state for neglecting the development of Telangana and he further said that those governments not even allocated 10,000 crores in their budgets.
